Tips
– Store the live BSFL at room temperature in a dry and shaded area
– Avoid direct sunlight
– Always keep the live BSFL dry or else they will crawl on any surface
– Buy our sifter to separate the live BSFL from the packing substrate easily
Note
If some of your live BSFL are turning black, don’t worry! They are actually turning into pupae and getting ready for the “fly” stage. Keep them until they turn into a fly and watch your pets go after them! It’s an excellent enrichment for your pets and they are a slow-moving fly which do not sting or bite, so they are easy to catch. In fact, if your pets do not like the live BSFL, they should like the flies!
